Change someone's life for the better; please give today!

Greetings Camel Race Fans!
Please be a part of the excitement in 2022!

NEW THEME! (The Wizard of Oz).

NEW LOCATION! (American Legion Hall in Lapeer).

And the GREATEST SPONSORS at this event! (YOU!).

  • There are sponsorships at MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS!

  • We encourage you to start collecting funds for BEST DRESSED CAMEL. Remember, every dollar counts as one vote!

  • Admission tickets are only $25 each. We expect to be SOLD OUT this year!

  • We will not serve dinner, but the every ticket pruchase comes with a food and non-alcoholic drink voucner.  The American Legion will also be selling great food (this will be a fundraiser for them as well!). They will also sell drinks. THIS IS NOT A BYOB EVENT!

  • We encourage you to wear your best “Wizard of Oz” related attire.

  • PLEASE become a sponsor this year and send in your sponsorship form ASAP! We will gladly accept any donation level.

WHAT DO YOUR DONATIONS DO?
Your support allows us to help out of school students (about half of our 250+ students are under age 24).
They improve skills, work toward earning a GED, get better jobs, enter training programs, get in to
college, and build better lives. About 50 of our students earn their GED each year!

  •  Your support allows us to tutor elementary aged children who are behind in reading or math.

Tutoring is offered through our school and library based partnerships.

  •  Your support allows us to offer workshops for families with young children to build literacy skills.

The Camel Races are Built Around the Sponsors! Your camel will “race” against other area
sponsors’ camels. Guests cheer for you and bet on you! You build recognition in our
community and show your support for the Family Literacy Center.

Especially now, YOU ARE NEEDED! Please act now and contact me with any questions!

Thank you!
