We are so happy you’re interested in getting involved with our work here at the Family Literacy Center. There are so many ways for you to help, and your time and effort are truly appreciated. By lending your support, you’ll become a valuable part of our Non-Profit Organization and help to strengthen your Family Literacy Center's programs.

Volunteer tutors are always needed. However, in addition to traditional volunteer tutors, the Family Literacy Center has other opportunities that can be fulfilled by people who may not be comfortable as a tutor but still want to give of their time.

Donate Books
The best way to create a love of reading is having access to books. Having a book of your own is a special treat for children. To make sure that every child we meet has a book, the Family Literacy gives books away at all of our programs and events we attend in the community. To do this we need donations of NEW or Like NEW children's books. If you have new or like new children's books you would like to donate, please call the office at 810-664-2737 to set up a drop-off time.
