HOW OFTEN WILL I TUTOR?

ADULT TUTOR

Tutoring pairs usually meet once per week, year-round.  Time and frequency of meetings are arranged by the tutor, student, and Family Literacy Center.  Tutoring space is available at our offices and can be reserved by contacting  staff.  On occasion tutoring will take place off site in a public setting like a school or library.  Tutoring is never allowed in private homes.  Students are responsible for their transportation to and from tutoring locations.

CHILD TUTOR

Tutors will meet in a group setting one to one with the student they are tutoring. The sessions are 90 minutes once a week and are held in the after school. The facilitator is present during all sessions and will provide materials needed for the session as well as conduct group activities. Typically, sessions are held at the Family Literacy Center, Lapeer District Library sites, or local community schools.

Looking forward to working with you!
