ONE-TO-ONE ADULT TUTORING

The Family Literacy Center is a non-profit organization offering programs designed to help Lapeer County families who are concerned about the level of literacy in their homes and are looking for resources to help them.  The Center provides assistance through trained volunteer tutors who work one-to-one with adults who have low-level reading, writing and spelling skills.  Tutors are also available for English as a Second Language (ESL) students.  A Workplace Literacy program is available for adult workers who need to improve their literacy skills to cope with increased reading and writing demands on the job.
